Experience

Education

1: MBBS/Physician with atleast 5 years post-graduation experience in Family/Internal/emergency medicine in a clinical or occupational setting(not include internship) 2: Holds current registration or license qualification in home country. Passes the internship program which managed by Pakistan Medical Council. 3: Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) or equivalent.4: Hold current certifications like ACLS, CLS, ATLS, PHTLS

Job Description

Manage acute and chronic illness.

• Provide cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and management of anaphylaxis.

• Organize and participate in preventative health care:

▪ Conduct pre-employment health assessments.

▪ Conduct periodical health assessments for certain categories of workers.

▪ Prescribe and administer immunizations, anti-Vector Controls, and health advice.

▪ Provide health education and communication.

• Ensure that patients clearly understand their medical conditions, their recommended and prescribed treatments, their work status (i.e., restrictions and accommodations), and the urgency of any follow-up plans.

• Perform minor surgical procedures such as joint injection and aspiration, and surgical excisions as appropriate for approved practitioners, including referral of relevant samples for histology.

• Diagnose and manage injuries associated with physical hazards such as heat stress, hypothermia, chemical, solar radiation, and vibration.

• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

• Communicable and infectious disease control, care, and investigation.

Provide emergency medical response, advanced life support,

and stabilization for cases involving trauma, cardiac events, acute illnesses, and allergic reactions.

• Competently perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including intubation.

• Proficient in the use of a bag and mask for resuscitation.

• Proficient in the use of a defibrillator and emergency cardiac drugs.

• Proficient in starting both peripheral and central lines

. • Proficient at venous cut-downs.

• Control a hemorrhage and provide fluid replacement.

• Give intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intra-dermal injections.

• Pass a urinary catheter.

• Pass a nasogastric tube.

• Splint and stabilize fractures.

• Stabilization and treatment of significant thermal burns.

Proficient at fasciotomy/eschar release in burns or trauma cases.

• Proficient with a slit lamp for treatment of foreign body removal and evaluation of iritis/glaucoma.

• Proficient in techniques for eye foreign body and rust removal.

• Evaluate and treat toxic overdoses and/or exposures.

• Provide adequate pain relief and sedation for emergency procedures (shoulder dislocations, etc.).

• Establish cervical spine and backboard immobilization for transport.

• Provide and coordinate medical evacuation and topside support.

• Refer cases to specialist centers and assist with the transfer.

Produce and /or follow basic procedures associated with disaster planning and the delivery of emergency medical services.

• Train first aiders and monitor their performance.

Maintain continuing professional development and license.

• Maintain clinical competence and current evidence-based practice. Administer oxygen safely.

• Insert a chest drain and cricothyroidotomy cannula. • Use a nebulizer.

The document clearly, patient encounters accurately and completely, including ▪ Telephone and electronic communication and discussions with other health professionals ▪ Line managers. ▪ Health & Safety. ▪ HR advisors on work-related issues.

Maintain communication with referral physicians that is adequate to ensure follow-up on important clinical findings. Able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels within an organization. Recognize and work within your own limitations.
