Job Description

  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in hospital locations.
  • Ensure accurate stock records and inventory levels in the warehouse system.
  • Monitor stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO (First in First Out / First Expiry First Out) principles.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Ensure medicines are stored according to recommended temperature, humidity, and safety conditions.
  • Monitor cold chain management for temperature-sensitive medications.
  • Inspect incoming pharmaceutical supplies for quality, expiry dates, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Coordinate timely supply of medicines and consumables to pharmacy outlets, wards, and departments.
  • Monitor stock requests and ensure prompt fulfillment.
  • Prevent Stock-outs and overstocking through proper planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and drug storage standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Monitor handling and disposal of expired or damaged medicines according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain warehouse records including stock registers, receiving logs, and dispatch records.
  • Prepare inventory and consumption reports for management review.
  • Monitor and supervise activities Of all reporting Staff; conduct trainings for junior Staff.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
