Experience
Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in technical procurement, preferably in healthcare, industrial, engineering, or maintenance environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. A certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.

General Job Objective
The Senior Officer – Supply Chain (Technical Buyer) will be responsible for the procurement of engineering, maintenance, and technical items. The role requires close coordination with the Maintenance Department to ensure the timely procurement of spare parts, generators, HVAC systems, MEP equipment, medical equipment accessories, civil works, and maintenance services while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and achieving value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of engineering, maintenance, and technical items, including generators, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, civil, plumbing, and MEP-related materials and services.
- Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and scopes of work in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
- Obtain quotations, prepare technical and commercial comparative statements, and evaluate vendors.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate technical compliance before procurement.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and service contracts.
- Source and develop qualified technical vendors and maintain an approved vendor database.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, and after-sales support with suppliers.
- Coordinate the procurement of CAPEX and maintenance-related projects.
- Monitor project deliveries and ensure materials are supplied within agreed timelines.
- Maintain complete procurement records, contracts, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers for technical equipment and spare parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and organizational procedures.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications, BOQs, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Experience in technical sourcing, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to support operational requirements.
