Job Description
Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students on topics according to the academic syllabus using relevant teaching strategies.
Keep well-informed of developments in their field by reading current literature and participating in professional conferences.
Prepare course materials such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts.
Develop, validate, and administer Best Choice Questions (BCQs), Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPEs), and other assessment tools in accordance with Health Professions Education (HPE) principles and institutional assessment guidelines to ensure validity, reliability, and alignment with learning outcomes
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
Develop, review, evaluate, and continuously update the curriculum, course content, instructional materials, and teaching methodologies to ensure academic quality and alignment with programme objectives
Assess clinical education needs, and patient and client teaching needs, utilizing a variety of methods.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
- Advise students on academic and vocational curricula, and on career issues.
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions. - Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
Supervise undergraduates, internship, and research work.
- Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
