TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The data entry operator/assistant will be responsible for data management including data entry. Under the technical guidance of Manager MIS, responsibilities include (but not limited to);
1. Transfer information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, etc.
- Review data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolves any discrepancies. Obtain further information for incomplete documents and engage relevant officers.
- Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry & transcribe source data into the required electronic format.
- Check source documents for accuracy before entry in the MIS and verify integrity of data by comparing it to source documents.
- Verify data and correct data where necessary following recommended data correction guidelines
- Maintain a filing system and protect confidential information.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Can Use basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.)
- Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity.
- Assist program officer in review of program expenses
- Completes additional assigned tasks as required.
