Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in preparing sections of human tissue for microscopic examination and patient diagnosis under supervision.
- Observe and practice techniques such as embedding, sectioning/microtomy, staining, and mounting tissue samples.
- Support senior staff in examining slides and blocks to understand laboratory quality requirements.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and instruments under guidance.
- Assist in grossing small specimens and learn fixation techniques for larger specimens with supervision of the Pathologist.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and departmental information at all times.
- Comply with departmental rules, policies, protocols, and ensure safe disposal of chemical waste.
Job Requirement:
- Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. / MLT / BS / MS in Biological Sciences (Graduated).
- Experience: Fresh - 05 months of experience or have done internship within Histopathology Department.
- Willing to work in rotations.
