General Manager Engineering - Project & Facility

Experience

Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in projects and facilities management, especially large-scale expansion projects, healthcare experience would be an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred. Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM), or similar are highly desirable

Job Description

The General Manager, Engineering is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operational management of hospital expansion projects. This role ensures that expansion initiatives align with IHHN’s The position also entails managing existing facilities to maintain functionality and compliance with healthcare standards during and after expansion. The main responsibilities includes:

Lead end-to-end delivery of hospital expansion projects including phases of planning, design, construction, and handover.
Develop, administer, and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, construction contractors, and internal hospital stakeholders.
Lead the planning, design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems for hospital expansion and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with Supply Chain and Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services related to projects and facilities.
Oversee all MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, boilers, water supply, sewage systems, and medical gas pipelines..
Manage hospital utility plants including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, RO systems, and water treatment systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all hospital utilities and infrastructure.
Supervise engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC technicians, and maintenance contractors.
Conduct risk management and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure timely communication and reporting of project status to senior management and relevant departments
