District Field Supervisor (Larkana) - Community Health Directorate

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in field research, monitoring and evaluation, or survey implementation. • Prior experience supervising household surveys, baseline studies, or large-scale data collection exercises. • Experience working on programmes related to Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Family Planning (FP), or Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) will be strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of sampling methodologies, survey protocols, and data quality assurance procedures. • Experience using digital data collection tools such as KOBO and google doc. • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise field teams in rural settings. • Strong coordination and communication skills for engagement with communities and local stakeholders. • Ability to identify and resolve field-level operational and data quality challenges. • Preference will be given to candidates familiar with the local language and context of the project districts. • Completion of assigned household interviews as per daily targets.

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or related field.

District Larkana, Sindh (01) Position

Key Responsibilities

·         Supervise and coordinate all field data collection activities in the assigned district.

·         Finalize field plans and enumerator deployment schedules to ensure smooth implementation of household surveys, FGDs, and KIIs.

·         Manage and oversee enumerator teams, ensuring adherence to the approved sampling methodology, survey protocols, and ethical standards.

·         Engage with communities, Local Support Organizations (LSOs), and local authorities to facilitate smooth access to survey locations and respondents.

·         Ensure that household surveys are conducted according to the approved sampling plan and field procedures.

·         Conduct regular field visits to data collection sites to observe interviews and ensure proper implementation of survey tools.

·         Ensure data quality and consistency by reviewing submitted questionnaires daily for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to skip logic.

·         Conduct spot checks and back-checks of completed interviews to verify data quality.

·         Lead daily debriefing sessions with enumerators to discuss challenges, clarify questions, and provide guidance for improving data quality.

·         Monitor progress against daily targets and ensure timely completion of fieldwork.

·         Act as the focal point for coordination with LSOs, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate scheduling and organization of FGDs and KIIs.

·         Report field progress, operational challenges, and data quality issues to the project team on a regular basis.

Ensure compliance with ethical protocols, informed consent procedures, and confidentiality standards during data collection.
