Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES - Fabricate and assembles prosthetic and orthotic devices, including component parts, sockets and suspensions systems under the instruction and design advised by the Prosthetist/Orthotist.
- Follow proper procedures and keep record of issuance of any materials and components from store.
- Update the Supervisor about the stock consumption and the required stock well in time.
- To assist the P&O in Casting and Modification.
- Draping (Molding) or Laminations, Cutting, Finishing and reverting, Making soft insert (liner),
- Perform bench alignment of the devices as per specifications and instructions of the P&O.
- Assist the P&O in modification during the fitting/gate training process wherever required.
- Performs final operations on all devices, including the use of alignment, transfer tools and equipment to deliver the device according to required standards, to ensure patient’s safety and biomechanical correction.
- Ensure maintenance of machinery and tools on daily bases e.g oiling, cleanliness
- Report any pertinent information regarding the device to the P&O.
- Participate in follow-up procedures and repair of orthotic/Prosthetic devices.
- Respect a strict confidentiality as described in staff regulations.
- Respect and observe the protocols and regulations of the Center.
- Follow safety precautions and measures, such as wearing goggles, gloves and masks while working on various machines and tools to avoid any health and safety hazards.
- To ensure that production targets are met as per standards and instructions of the Supervisor.
