Job Description:
The focus of the Role of a Biomedical Engineer is to perform the assigned task, capable of troubleshooting, Installation, Calibration, and performing Periodic Preventive maintenance independently.
The role is focused on delivering high-quality service to maintain the hospital’s standards at an exceptional level, continually evolving to meet the changing demands of healthcare. It involves developing and improving working practices, providing a comprehensive biomedical engineering service, and introducing innovative ideas, methods, policies, protocols, and procedures across the hospital
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to diagnose, Maintain and calibrate a variety of biomedical laboratory equipment (e.g., analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, diagnostic devices)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to laboratory equipment safety and operation.
- Capable of reading the schematic and service manual for repair and maintenance work.
- Have an understanding of local regulations and compliance related to the healthcare industry.
- Can effectively communicate through reports and email when required.
- Need to perform the preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
- Perform the technical inspection of new equipment and spares when they arrive in the hospital.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users related to equipment usage and safety aspects.
- Can travel to off-sites when required.
- Performed related tasks and jobs assigned by superiors.
- Have an understanding of safety aspects related to environmental conditions and
electrical requirements for medical equipment.
- Participate in the investigation and reporting of medical device-related incidents.
- Participate in educational and training programs for medical, paramedical, technical,
and other staff in the hospital.
- Perform rotational shift duties (Morning, Evening, Night).
