Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- Point of contact to the end user for support on:
- Desktops/Laptops
- Computer on wheels
- Printers
- Scanners
- Software Installation
- Network
TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for installing & performing minor repairs on computer hardware and peripherals.
- Responsible for sending problematic hardware or defective products to vendors or technicians for repair.
- Responsible for testing of computers and ensuring that computers and software installation are in order.
- Responsible for identifying and solving any problems that affect computer systems.
- Responsible for maintenance and upgrading of computer systems / other IT equipment and offering recommendations for upgrades.
- Responsible for networking and connecting computers in the organization to enhance communication.
- Responsible for troubleshooting problems and maintenance of computers.
- Responsible for repair of computers and equipment on component levels.
- Responsible to log user complaints related to any IT concerned sub department, in daily issue/incident log.
- Ensure that problems are timely addressed as per the priority level and appropriate measures are taken to report the problem to 1st line support (in-house or 3rd party) and follow-up until the problem is closed.
- Responsible to train new users regarding computer general knowledge and effective usage.
- Responsible to have a MIS generated report on monthly basis to display any critical, recurring, abnormal issues and report to supervisor.
