Job Description
Job Summary:
The Biomedical Engineer will functions in multiple roles, which include dialysis machine maintenance and service, R.O. plant maintenance and service, dialyzer reprocessor system maintenance and service. The engineer is responsible for maintaining all records related to the dialysis machine, R.O. plant, and its consumable items, and for maintaining standard quality for patient care.
Tasks & Accountabilities:

This position works under the supervision of a Team Lead Bio Medical Dialysis.
Maintains an excellent record of attendance/punctuality. Plans and communicates absences in advance. Keeps commitments and meets deadlines.
Maintenance and service of hemodialysis equipment (Dialysis machine, Dialyzer Reprocessor machine, mixer, etc.) every month and as per requirement.
Maintain all records related to hemodialysis machines and their consumable items.
Monitor hemodialysis machine function starting in all dialysis shifts, including alarms, conductivity, and temperature.
Perform hemodialysis machine biochemistry tests every month and as per requirement.
Maintenance and service of R.O. plant and pre-treatment system.
Maintain service and maintenance log sheet of R.O. plant and pre-treatment system.
Disinfection of R.O. plant and R.O. plumbing loop.
Ensure various laboratory tests on R.O. water (water analysis, water culture, and endotoxin) as per set standards by AAMI/ISO periodically.
Inspect and maintain Dialyzer Reprocessor machine chemicals.
Look after (inspect) bicarbonate solution mixing plant and prepare bicarb solution for hemodialysis machine every shift.
Maintain stock of hemodialysis solution Part A+B and its records.
Maintain inventory stock requisition and consumption record.
