Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintain a clean, hygiene, and orderly environment across the nursing Institute’s premises. This includes class rooms, offices, corridors, common rooms. Meeting rooms, corridors, and any designated outdoor spaces. The role supports a healthy and safe atmosphere for students, faculty and visitors. 

TASKS & ACCOUNTIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for start time and sign off duty utilizing TIH attendance system.

2. Be in correct designated / approved uniform including PPES / TIH ID Card while on duty.

3. Verifies routine or special assignments with immediate supervisor.

4. Ensures availability of all supplies needed for entire shift (morning, evening, night) i.e. cable tie,

bin liners, cleaning chemicals, liquid soaps, and PPES and replenishes all assigned supplies as

required e.g. Hand wash liquid soap / toilet paper etc.

5. Check HK equipment i.e. floors scrubbing machine, fumigation machine / HK Carts prior to

usage to ensure correct and safe operation.

6. Cleans hospital corridors / stairs / walls / furniture cleaning / wards or offices equipment,

cleaning of floor surface utilizing dry and wet methods, including vacuuming and spot clean with a cloth or machine etc.

7. Mop, sweep & dusting of all assigned areas.

8. Damp dusts/disinfects all environmental surfaces, fixtures, fittings and vertical & horizontal high & low.

9. Disinfect/rooms/bath rooms/offices according to HK sanitization protocol.

10. Empties, removes, collects and transport all waste (contaminated & non-contaminated) to

designated waste area within TIH facility in line with HK protocols.

11. Responsible to ensure that Indus Code of Conduct/confidentiality of internal issues is strictly followed and code of conduct breach will result dismissal from service.

12. Utilizes all manual and electrical equipment i.e. vacuum cleaners/floor scrubbing machine/polishing machines etc., following all safe work practices as per established HK Protocols.

13. Utilizes all: TIH IC Approved” cleaning chemicals as per protocol, always mindful of safe and correct practices and protocols/use of proper PPES /follow hand wash protocol, before and after completion of cleaning tasks.

14. Moves furniture for cleaning purposes to ensue task completion and returns furniture, to original location once work is completed.

15. Ensure all used equipment i.e. scrubbing /polishing machine, mop trollies, HK Cards is left in clean and operable condition for next shift as per HK Protocols.

16. Any Other task assigned by Supervisor.
