The Medical Director is responsible for managing the family medicine functions within all hospitals and outreach sites across the Community Health Directorate.
Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director in setting the medical strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Assist in creating and executing strategic plans to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Clinical Oversight and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain high clinical standards by actively participating in clinical governance, case reviews, and medical staff meetings.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and the highest standards of patient safety.
- Regularly review and analyze clinical quality indicators and implement necessary improvements.

Resource Management:
- Participate in resource allocation, including budget planning and allocation of medical staff and facilities.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure adequate staffing and equipment for clinical services.
Medical Staff Development and Credentialing:
- Facilitate professional development, education, and training opportunities for staff members.
- Oversee the credentialing and pledging process for medical staff members.
Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation:
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Work closely with the compliance team so maintain and renew accreditations and licensure of all CHD sites and hospitals.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with the local community to promote healthcare awareness and initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with healthcare partners.
Clinical Research and Innovation:
- Encourage and support clinical research projects.
- Promote the Integration of innovative medical technologies and treatment modalities to enhance patient care.
