The main duties and responsibilities of a Procurement Officer may include:
1. Sourcing and selecting vendors and suppliers.
2. Conducting market visits and surveys.
3. Ensuring system-generated demand requests are generated by End User Departments.
4. Ensuring procured items are properly issued and acknowledged by End User Departments.
5. Creating purchase orders/ work orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
6. Evaluating and selecting vendors based on quality, price, and delivery time.
7. Maintaining accurate procurement records and reports.
8. Processing timely payments while keeping a record of pending payments with the finance department with proper follow-up.
9. Keeping a record of received Bid & Performance Securities and their expected expiry dates and ensuring they remain valid. Aiding in the clearance process of importing health products along with proper documentation.
